Sarah Lewis, MD, MPH
Sarah Lewis, MD, MPH, currently serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) of Duke Regional Hospital.
As ACMO, she leads the overall vision and oversight of clinical quality and patient safety programs at Duke Regional Hospital. She works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, physician and nursing leaders, and frontline team members to advance our culture of safety and continuous performance improvement.
Additionally, Dr. Lewis sees patients on the Duke Regional Hospital Infectious Diseases consult service and serves as medical director of Duke Regional Hospital’s Infection Prevention and Infectious Diseases Clinical Services.
Dr. Lewis received her medical degree at University of Virginia, completed her internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship training at Duke, and received her master’s in public health degree in epidemiology at the University of North Carolina School of Public Health.
