Medical Center News Office Web Site Wins National Award

DURHAM, N.C. –- The Duke University Medical Center and Health System's News Office has won an Award of Excellence from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) for its Web site – dukemednews.org.
The purpose of the Awards of Excellence competition, now in its 32nd year, is to recognize the outstanding work of AAMC members in public affairs, marketing, development and alumni affairs.
Launched in July 2001, dukemednews.org is a Web site for the news media to utilize to help them report on the latest news about the Medical Center and Health System. It has thousands of unique visitors each month and serves as a valuable link between the work of Duke and its coverage by the media for the benefit of patients and the public.
The Medical Center News Office, led by its director, Jeff Molter, received the award today (Nov. 10) at the AAMC's annual meeting in San Francisco.
