Congratulations to the first class of students to enroll in Durham Early College of Health Sciences!
Duke was proud to host the inaugural Signing Day event for the 99 rising 9th graders who have accepted admission into DECHS, which is a unique partnership between Duke Health, Durham Technical Community College, and Durham Public Schools.
A transformative $29.5 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies will establish the early college where students in grades 9-12 earn the credentials for health care jobs or research roles at Duke upon graduation.
