New technology being studied and developed in the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center for patients undergoing partial mastectomy for breast cancer was featured on ABC World News Tonight with Charles Gibson, Monday, December 15.

The new technology was created by Duke's Lee Wilke, MD.

About Lee Wilke, MD 

${lee_wilke.jpg?left}Wilke's primary research interest is clinical trials which seek to define novel means to treat patients with breast cancer. She has previously worked with the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group as a Medical Officer and continues to actively participate in translational and cancer clinical trials.

Wilke also works collaboratively with several basic science researchers within Duke University to support innovative breast cancer therapeutics.
