DURHAM, N.C. - The Children's Miracle Network Fair, which supports pediatric research and individual patient care, will be held outside Duke University's new McGovern-Davison Children's Health Center on Erwin Road on June 4, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All are welcome.
The fund-raising event will include roving clowns, face painting, a magician, a fortune teller, carnival games, arts and crafts, a bake sale, an inflatable "space walk," a demonstration by a jump rope team and a presentation by the Shadow Players, a performing arts group.
Also, the annual "Kiss the Pig Contest" is back. Duke employees make donations in the name of individuals selected for the competition. The person who raises the most money must kiss the pig, while the person who raises the least holds it.
