DURHAM, N.C. -- National Public Radio science correspondent Joe Palca will air his views on "How, When and Where to Tell the Public About Misconduct in Science" as part of a daylong visit Monday to Duke's Center for the Study of Medical Ethics and Humanities.
Palca, who has a Ph.D. in psychology, will address a number of questions arising from the crucial role ethics now plays in scientific research -- whether it's appropriate to experiment on humans or other animals, academic dishonesty and the ethics of gathering and presenting data.
