Lung Transplant Patient Rides Bike to Return For One-Year Check-Up
A Virginia lung patient diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis travels from Virginia by bicycle to inspire others and demonstrate the progress his lungs have made.
A pulmonary fibrosis patient rode his bicycle on a 2-day trip from Virginia to demonstrate his recovery from a lung transplant on his one-year check-up.
Mark Howard and his wife wanted to inspire others by showing the progress he’s made when he arrived for his check-up at the Duke Cardiopulmonary Center in Durham.
He worked with Dr. John Michael Reynolds and the transplant team for the procedure.
