The Duke Caregiver Community Event gathered local organizations, caregivers and resources this week to connect them with options for their loved ones.

63 million Americans are caregivers according to AARP’s “Caregiving in the US 2025” report, a 50% increase from 10 years ago.

According to data from NCDHHS, 1.28 million North Carolinians are caregivers, who provide an estimated $16.5 billion in unpaid care.
