DURHAM, N.C. -- Graham-based Crissman Family Practice has entered into an affiliation agreement with the Private Diagnostic Clinic at Duke University Medical Center, Crissman and Duke officials announced Friday.

Dr. Mark Crissman will also join Duke's faculty in the department of Community and family medicine. The practice's other health care provider, Cheryl Wicker, licensed practical nurse, will gain faculty status in Duke's graduate program in nursing. "This affiliation should be a good thing for both Crissman Family Practice and the Alamance County community," Crissman said. "It not only expands the number of patients we can serve, it also provides our patients with the more flexible payment and insurance options they need."

Crissman Family Practice was established in Graham in 1946 by Crissman's father, Dr. Clinton Crissman. Mark Crissman, who has run the practice since 1985, emphasized that current patients should see no difference in their ongoing relationships at his practice.
