Kenneth C. Morris
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, DUHS
Kenneth C. Morris serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Duke University Health System having joined the System in August of 2000. As such, he oversees all financial functions of the system including accounting and financial reporting, cash and debt management, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle, payer relations and contracting, procurement, real estate, and insurance. In addition, Morris serves as a member of the senior leadership team on all matters related to strategy and organizational transformation.
Prior to his current role at Duke, Morris served as Chief Financial Officer at Mission Health in Asheville and at Loyola University Health System in Chicago. Before his appointment as CFO at Loyola, Morris held assistant vice president for finance positions there and at Tulane University in New Orleans. He also held positions with International Telephone and Telegraph and Johnson & Johnson.
After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, Morris served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army with duty assignments in Colorado and Germany. He holds a master's in public administration from the University of Colorado.
